Our registration number is CH-11409 and non-program expenses are funded from tour income, so 100% of your donations go directly to save the cats. My Reason for Volunteering: Because it fulfills a need I have to feel useful and to help bring about positive change. I really believe in helping those that cannot help themselves, and I feel that animals need all the advocats that they can get. They deserve our respect and love and so often they do not get it. I do not have funds to donate to the animals. I do not have connections to others that can give big bucks. I only have my time and my energy to give to this group of animals that have become a part of my family.
It is easy to feel that the animal exploitation and animal extiction problem is too big to make any kind of difference. If you work on a smaller scale to help BCR and to further our mission, it is not so overwhelming and you can see your impact nearly every day. And thankfully the impact you make at BCR does have global impact.

Notable Improvements I've Made: I helped to develop and implement the intern program. I help to stock and maintain the cat hospital and assist with the medical needs of the cats. The biggest contribution is that every day I try to help make the jobs of the staff easier. Maintaining the health and well being of this many cats and volunteers is no small undertaking. I endeavor to help and support them in caring for both the cats and the volunteer program.
