BIG CAT RESCUE GOLF TOURNAMENT

Thanks to the wonderful response from players, sponsors and donors the tournament was by all measures a great success. We had a full field of 144 and regretfully had to turn some people away. The tournament net was almost exactly $15,000. This is enough to fund the project that Girl Scouts Kelly Murphy and Amber Danielecki will do to earn their Gold Award (distributing the BCR educational DVD called “The Big Cat Movie” to schools around the country) and also to build the new den and enclosure for Cleo the cougar.
Efforts to make the tournament “cat oriented” made the tournament different and memorable. These included large stuffed toy cats on top of the beverage carts and hole sponsor signs with cut out pictures of cats above them with a brief description of the cat's history.

Based on the comments and emails from the participants, everyone had a great time and particularly appreciated the “Tee Up for Tigers” commemorative logo windbreakers received by each golfer (pictured at below).
