The leopard is capable of running 40 miles per hour for short distances, can jump 10 feet vertically and leap more than 20 feet horizontally. A leopard ran a distance of 176 yards. If this leopard had continued at this rate, about how many more minutes would it have taken the cat to run one mile?

1. 50 minutes
2. 10 minutes
3. 40 minutes
4. 24 minutes

 

If a leopard is capable of producing young at age 2 or 3 and can continue until they are 9 years old; producing 1-3 cubs each year, what is the largest possible number of cubs one female can produce in a lifetime. Explain how you solve this problem and show your work.
