Welcome to Big Cat Rescue's eCard System
We are purring because you have chosen our big cat site to
send eCards to your family and friends. Big Cat Rescue's staff, volunteers
and even the cats welcome you to our new eCard System. It is completely free for
you to use and enjoy. It is our hope that you will help us promote this new
section of our website by sending eCards to all of your friends and family and by adding the link to your emails and websites.
You can send cards as a guest without signing up for a an account. However
when you do sign up for an account, which is totally free and asks only that you create a User Name and Private password and your email address. You get some added
benefits to make your eCard sending more fun and productive. We will be
adding new photos, music, poems and new eCards year round.
A NEW ANNOUNCEMENT

It is not a chat room, as the name sounds, but is instead a website much like YouTube or MySpace. The difference is that ALL the posts (videos, photos, audio, blogs etc) are animal related. It is a site that is as Family Safe as we can possibly make it.
Currently there is a Mother's Day Contest going on. We want you to tell us how your mother is like an animal. Possibly she is protective like a tigress, maybe she is doting and gentle like a momma hen. Your entry can be in text, video, audio or in photos. faster for you. (This also makes it easier to make one eCard and send it to all of your friends at once.)

Why do I have to give an email address?

Because Big Cat Rescue's eCard System will drop you an email
when the eCards you send have been picked up by the person you sent it to.

You can set up Calendar Reminders to remind you by email when
a birthday or anniversary et.. is coming up

You can pre-make your eCards up to one year in advance and
schedule when you want Big Cat Rescue's eCard System to send them out for you.

Another reason signing up as a member is important is: When members send eCards it clicks a counter on that card for us and we can then see which eCards are the most poular and thus spend our time more wisely in what cards we create. This eCard System does not click a counter on the cards when sent by a guest. So for us to know which cards are truly liked and used so we can make more like it, we have to be able to see which ones get used the most.
Easter 2008 Contest Winners
As a way of introducing this brand new Big Cat Rescue eCard System we ran a contest that ended Easter morning 2008. It was really quite simple. The eCard Member who sent the most eCards before Easter morning 2008 won.
This eCard System automatically kept track of how many eCards each member sent. At the end of the contest it generated a report telling us how many eCards each member sent.
The member who sent the most eCards will be contacted and delivery arrangements made for the following prizes: 1) a physical set of Big Cat Cards, 2) an exotic cat Adoption Kit and 3) an 8x10 photo of one of the cats at Big Cat Rescue suitable for framing.
The winners of the Easter Contest are as follows:
1st Place: Crackle sent 218 eCards
2nd Place: Erica sent 160 eCards
3rd Place: TigerAngel sent 101 eCards
4th Place: SeaLover sent 75 eCards
Congratulations and THANK YOU for everyone who helped us announce this new eCards System by sending out a lot of eCards. We will be contacting each winner to make arrangements to send their prize.
