Donors of $500 and up
You may wonder sometimes is committing yourself to such daunting tasks as trying to "save the world" guarantees that you will change the lives of those you seek to help:
But it is guaranteed to change yours.
These are some of the people that we are deeply indebted to for their dedication, donations and moral support. We have over 20,000 of you to thank and can't name everyone here, but we do appreciate all that you do for the animals. What's more is that each one of these people, by giving of themselves, has become a better person.
2006
The Admiral Farragut Academy Lower Division Students donated $700.00 to sponsor one of the big cats.
Edward Roeder donated $600.00 to the cats for 3 Casper projects, which included new high rise platforms for Sultan the Ocelot, new climbing logs for the cougar cubs and retention pond with tropical landscaping for Cleo and Mac the cougars so that their cages will stay dry during heavy rains.
Janet Fox donated $500.00 to help the lions, tigers and other big cats of Big Cat Rescue.
2005
Tampa Bay's Best Wedding & Party Planner hosted a bridal show at the Rusty Pelican in July 2005 and donated a $600.00 space for us to set up and gave us the $500.00 they raised from the silent auction.
Thank you Susan and Dennis Mitchell for contributing $950.00 to build Sundari's new den and room addition. This was a birthday gift from Susan to Denny.
We are excited to report great results from the very dedicated fundraising efforts of a teacher in Ohio and her elementary school. Read this letter to see what a difference just a few can make. One of my classes created a "Big Cat Rescue" cookbook to help raise money for your sanctuary. I wanted to let you know that our cookbook is FINISHED and, in fact, practically sold out in less than 2 weeks! You will soon be receiving an autographed copy of the cookbook along with a check for $650.00! We were amazed at the support throughout the United States for our endeavor. We received recipes for the book from many of the past Presidents, many Indian tribes, and almost all of the Governors in the United States! My family and I are coming to Tampa again this June and my husband and I can hardly wait to re-visit the sanctuary. Thanks so much for all your hard work at the sanctuary--and to all of your volunteers as well.
The latest development is that she works part time at a book store, and bought a cookbook for one of her managers who likes to cook-----and all the managers went NUTS for the cookbook--and she sold 6 more to other managers there . They have been trying to come up with a way to sell the cookbook in their store---and corporate has finally come up with the beginnings of a plan. They would like to hold a "Benefit day" for BCR--apparently a percentage of the profit for the day would be donated to BCR--and the cookbooks would be sold in the store at that time, as well. They may even have a "book signing" with her students!
We can't thank Jean and the school kids at Harold Schnell Elementary School enough for this sizable donation and the inspiration they are to all of us.
Tina and John Della donated $600.00 to help care for the big cats and we are very thankful for their kind support.
2004
Thank you Lance Ponton of Cordoba Development for donating $500.00.
Thank you, Becky Gagliardo for encouraging her employer, SRI/ Surgical Express, Inc. to donate $500.00 to us instead of holding their annual Christmas party.
Each and every one of you has helped make a difference by donating to this big cat charity.
Thanks from all of us!
