Tiger Princess at Big Cat RescuePRINCESS  Female Siberian/Bengal Tiger

DOB 1/1/90

Princess is another tiger that has retired to Big Cat Rescue from the life of a circus performer. She came to us, along with her brother King. She is only half the size of her brother and far more timid about her new space. Her keepers told us they called her “Princess Train wreck” because her back is so crooked. We don't know the cause, but she has been under their veterinarian's care for the condition. We are continuing with her medications and supplements to ease the arthritic pain that accompanies such a twisted spine.

When she was first released into her new cat-a-tat, she paced a lot but, by the next day, was settled in and chuffing her approval. Time and again, we have seen cats that come to us with histories of being difficult yet they turn into loving creatures once they are given the space to do as they please. Princess knows she is safe here and knows our hearts are loving and welcoming.
