The Civets of Big Cat Rescue

Rashid arrived at Big Cat Rescue on 4/5/94 and Stetson on 10/15/96.  African Civets, Rashid and Stetson spend most of their time snoozing in their 1200 square foot habitat consisting of trees, shrubs and lots of soft shady spots to nap.

Calvin

Calvin arrived at Big Cat Rescue on 2/7/98 and was rescued from an animal auction.  Calvin is a special favorite of volunteer Beckie Gagliardo.  His favorite treat is bananas.  Due to his timid disposition, Calvin spends a lot of time in his den.  However he will almost always come out for his favorite treat.  Calvin's diet consists of produce as well as raw meat.  He is very well fed and shows it.  Calvin has been here for a long time now and this photo was just recently taken.  He is very camera shy.
